SESC São Paulo Keeps World Challenge Day Tradition Alive in 2024

On 7 May, SESC São Paulo, Brazil, kicked off the launch of the 30th edition of the Challenge Day with an online meeting. Scheduled for May 29th, Challenge Day 2024 will feature activities across 14 Latin American countries and bring together over 3,500 public and private organisations, emphasizing the significance of regular physical and sports activities. 

Democratising Access to Sport for All - Call to Action

TAFISA, in partnership with SportBox, has launched a Call to Action to Democratise Access to Sport for All in public spaces.

This Call to Action is a resource that can be used to educate local stakeholders, provide guidance on the next right steps using data and recommendations from leading organizations, and showcase best practice examples in the field.

SSF Publishes 2023 Report on Sports Participation in Japan

The Sasakawa Sports Foundation (SSF), a Tokyo-based TAFISA National Member, has released its latest report titled "2023 National Sports-Life Survey of Children and Young People." Since 2001, the Sasakawa Sports Foundation (SSF) has conducted its Sports-Life Survey on children in Japan Ages 10 to 19, with the goal of achieving “Sport for Everyone” by understanding exercise and sports participation of children during after-school periods

Sport for Planetary Health Conference held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

On 26 April, the city of Plovdiv welcomed 200 participants to the Sport for Planetary Health conference. Organised by BG BeActive, the event gathered representatives and experts from the region and all over Europe to look at how sports can be an effective tool to promote sustainability, environmental protection, and overall planetary health.
